Architecture

Urban development is also in the country à jour

This shows the modern interpretation of local building culture. One thing is certain: The new Peterhof is an architectural statement in the natural beauty of Furx.

Restaurant and Chalets

The village within the village

The new ‘’Alpe Furx’’ presents itself as an ensemble of chalets and a restaurant. The main building houses a restaurant and a spacious sun terrace with seating for 100 people. The chalets anchor themselves into the hillside as two story wooden buildings and offer the highest quality in alpine living. This includes a bedroom, an open living area with kitchen and fireplace, as well as a sauna area and an outside wooden bathtub on the balcony.

Whilst planning and during the building of the project, we were always careful to treat the natural surroundings with the respect it deserves. We have taken the natural aesthetics of the hills and reflected this in the beauty and comfort of our chalets.

Material

The consistent use of wood was an essential premise of the project.

On the outside, larch shingles enclose the entire structure whilst inside the rooms are lined with warm pine. Black-stained ash and maple accentuate the furnishings. To do justice to the horizon of Alpe Furx, panoramic windows allow framed views overlooking  the peaks of Rätikon, Alpstein the Rhine Valley and the Petrus and Paulus Chapel.
